Little Children is a movie adaptation of a novel with the same name written by American author Tom Perrotta. It’s a story of young parents living in suburban Boston neighborhood. Life as mother and father has never been easy for anyone. Some had to change their life-style in order to raise their children. The film also deals with dedicated issue of adultery and hatred in reluctant ways. It seems that, aside from the literal meaning of the title of the film, there is more subtle meaning of the children within oneself.
The film stars a veteran ensemble of the cast including Kate Winslet, Patrick Wilson, Jennifer Connelly, Noah Emmerich and Jackie Earle Haley. There is a notable performance from Kate Winslet as she could perfectly portray a simple yet complicated life of a young mother who committed adultery. All in all, the journey through the film is intense and somehow ends with a surprise.
