Nada Sou Sou (a.k.a. Tears for You) on Valentine’s Day

Yes, it’s this time of the year again – the time when you could actually see and feel that "love is in the air." On Valentine’s day, there is no better time to watch the so-called "love" movie. Tonight, I have just been back home from watching one of the beautiful and heart-broken tear-jerking Japanese movie called "Nada Sou Sou" or "Tears for You" which has just been released locally in Thailand today before the second part of the epic Thai movie trilogy "The Legend of King Naresuan" would storm the theater tomorrow.

The movie is adapted from Okinawa’s traditional song under the same name which describes the memory of love of a girl to her elder brother. However, the movie added a possibility that the brother and the sister is not actually related. Well, it doesn’t matter whether the couple is related or not. It doesn’t even matter that there are some loop holes in the plot and the story-line. It’s "pure and true" love that matters and we could really feel it from the movie.

The movie starred the veteran young actor Satoshi Tsumabuki as the hard-working brother and the charismatic young actress Masami Nagasawa as the lovely sister. Together, they created a beautiful brother-sister couple with unexpected on-screen chemistry. You would definitely laugh and cry with them.

4 stars out of 5 – recommend to those who are deeply in love or are searching for one.
