The Page Turner is a French drama film centering around an important task of the page turner who is sitting behind the pianists and turns the pages of musical note for them. The film was chosen to be in the competition for Un Certain Regard Award at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. The story begins with a ten-year-old Mélanie, a talented piano player, taking an exam for music school. She is likely to pass but, unfortunately, fails because she was distracted by Ariane, the professional pianist and the jury, giving an autograph during her audition. Ten years later, Mélanie becomes Ariane’s page turner, waiting for her revenge.
